Dare to Hope Arts Competition

In term three, Sirius College Pastoral Care & Wellbeing team were very excited to present a school-wide art competition focused on the theme of HOPE.

Although we have been going through some challenging times, we believe the youth possess great strength and resilience and can ignite hope and optimism in our school community.

The HOPE competition was open to all Sirius College students, from foundation to year 12 in three categories: short film, creative writing and visual art.

We’d like to send a big THANK YOU to all our students who made submissions to the Dare to Hope Art Competition. The team was overjoyed by the extent of interest and the quality of each of the submissions.

The judging panel was composed of teachers from different campuses who spent a considerable amount of time reviewing the submissions. Mr Tufan Camurtay, IDC’s very own art-specialist, took part in the panel who took into account how well the students addressed the theme of hope, the originality of the submission and the overall quality.

Congratulations to our IDC Winners:

The owners of the winning submissions were presented with a certificate of achievement and gift cards in term four assembly. Congratulations to Ayaan and Tony. The Pastoral Care and Wellbeing team cannot wait to organise many more competitions like this in the upcoming year!

Best Wishes,
